Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 300 g Kärntner Kasnudeln
  • 150 g Schmelzkäse
  • 100 g Gouda
  • 100 ml Wasser oder Gemüsebrühe
  • Salz, Pfeffer, Muskatnuss
  • Schnittlauch

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese dumplings according to package instructions until they float to the surface.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the water or broth in a pan and melt the processed cheese over medium heat while stirring. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  3. Drain the cooked dumplings, place them in a baking dish, and pour the hot cheese sauce over them.
  4. Grate the Gouda, sprinkle it evenly over the pasta, and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with fresh chives before serving.
